Following a successful year-out student placement, Ben returned in 2014 graduating with a First-Class Honours degree in Audio Acoustics from the University of Salford. With over 10 years’ experience, Ben has developed a practical and thorough approach to acoustic design, advising on projects in the UK and overseas in multiple sectors. Ben has been instrumental in the successful design of several notable projects such as the Deutsche Bank London HQ and various plots of the British Land Canada Water scheme.
Ben is actively involved with the Institute of Acoustics, is a member of European and International Standards committees and is also a regular public speaker at acoustic conferences and events. Pioneering new research and development in the field of office pod acoustics, Ben has also contributed significantly to the on-going development of our in-house calculation tools.

Kane joined Sandy Brown as an Engineer in 2019, having previously spent a year with the company as a placement student. Since then, Kane has contributed his acoustical expertise to numerous projects in different sectors, including office spaces, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, residential schemes and TV/film studios. Kane’s well-rounded and grounded knowledge of acoustic design has been integral to the success of high-profile projects, including Manchester’s landmark Old Granada Studios, Apple’s global network of retail stores, and modern office developments such as Bonded Warehouse, Manchester.
