Promotion news
Ben is based in our London office where he returned after graduating in 2016 having completed a student placement year during his degree and working part time in our Manchester office in his final year of studies. He was promoted to senior engineer in 2019 and is now a principal engineer.
Ben has worked across sectors for Sandy Brown but has gained extensive experience in the design of office and residential buildings. As well as managing numerous office fit-outs he has been closely involved in the design of large office developments including 21 Moorfields in London and Lusail Towers in Doha.
Reflecting his experience with the acoustic design of offices, he has presented papers on open plan office design at conferences for the Institute of Acoustics and sits on a working group for the Finishes and Interiors Sector. The working group are developing guidance on a sound insulation testing method for office pods; a now staple provision in new office fit-outs that do not conform to standard acoustic testing methodologies. Ben is also a member of the committee for the London Branch of the Institute of Acoustics.
Ben is a dedicated engineer who is happy to help his colleagues and clients alike and we are very happy to recognise his efforts and progress with this promotion.
