The new 60 seat Cinema 3 at Glasgow Film Theatre is located in the area once used as a cafe, and its introduction involved a complete reconfiguration of surrounding ancillary spaces. Despite being located in an extremely constrained space in a historic building, the sound proofing between Cinema 3 and the other two cinemas meets modern-day standards for new build cinemas, using a box in box construction. We advised on all acoustic requirements for the cinema shell, and also on the bespoke fit out and finishes.
