Experiences

Like many, I first became interested in acoustics through a fondness of both music and physics.
This led to a four-year master’s degree in Acoustic Engineering at the University of Southampton which taught me a lot of the basics and a fair amount of the advanced too.

My route into acoustics began following completion of a music technology type degree at the University of Derby. Having completed my course and realising that travelling around the world in the back of a bus didn’t appeal to me, I promptly looked into possible careers, and found acoustic consultancy combined many of the aspects I had enjoyed throughout my degree.
