This week the Energy Systems Catapult moved into their new facility in Birmingham City Centre. The new offices, which are located in Cannon House, Priory Queensway, are designed to provide an energy industry hub to facilitate and enhance innovation and create new opportunities for growth and collaboration across the industry.

Sandy Brown was part of a Birmingham based design team that brought this exciting new space to fruition, working with architects Monteith Scott, mechanical and electrical consultant Cundall and quantity surveyors Rider Levett Bucknall.

Bob Albon, who leads our office in Birmingham and worked on the scheme, says: “It can be easy to underestimate the importance of office acoustics and their effect on employee wellbeing. The team at Energy Systems Catapult not only understood this but were keen to address it from the beginning. Audio demonstrations helped us work with them and the wider design team to help create a fantastic office space and it’s great to see this up and running.”

The Energy Systems Catapult has been in operation since April 2015. It is one of 11 Catapult Centres, created by Innovate UK, to drive growth in key industrial sectors.
